East Central Illinois Podiatrist to Close Practice November 25th

After 27 years of podiatric practice in East Central Illinois, Dr. Joseph Borreggine is planning to close his podiatry office on November 25, 2019 located at 2111 18th Street, Charleston, Illinois.

IMG_0958.jpgDr. Borreggine will be relocating to Florida. Borreggine was hoping to have another podiatrist to takeover the practice in before he left, but that has not happened in a timely fashion, hence the office will permanently close on November 25, 2019.

Dr. Borreggine and his staff have been very honored to serve patients in the East Central area these past many years. He would also like to thank all of his patients past and present along with all his medical colleagues for their continued support during his tenure.

The_Family_Foot_Care_Center.jpgAfter his post graduate surgical training from 1988-1992 in Chicago, Illinois Dr. Borreggine began seeing patients in July 1992 in Charleston, Illinois after taking over an existing practice from a then retiring podiatrist.

Shortly after taking over the practice, Dr. Borreggine joined the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center (SBLHC) in Mattoon, IL. Then, Borreggine eventually expanded his podiatric services to other surrounding counties with SBLHC affiliated clinics from 1992-1999.

IMG_1533.jpgIn 1999, Borreggine closed the satellite clinic locations and consolidated his efforts and opened up another office in Effingham, Illinois. He, then joined the medical staff of HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital.

In 2016, Borreggine then closed his Effingham office and joined The Preferred Podiatry Group, PC and began providing foot care services to long term care facilities two days a week. Borreggine continued seeing patients at his Charleston office as well.

IPMA-Borreggine-Jenkins-Pac-Raffle.jpgDr. Borreggine is 1988 graduate of The Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and was trained surgically at Sacred Heart Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Borreggine is a board certified surgeon and a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He has also served as the President of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association and was the Chair of Illinois Podiatry Licensing Board. He has served in many local civic groups and has opportunity to speak about podiatry to many other organizations in the area.

IPMA-borregine-recognition.jpgDr. Borreggine has had an illustrious career as a podiatrist since 1988 and looks forward to continue to do when he moves to Florida in December. He plans on providing foot care full-time in long term care facilities with a prominent medical group in Southwest Florida.
